During Thanksgiving week, we took a week off of work and flew to paradise. This was our first time visiting the island so our itinerary was packed with things to see and food to eat and I'm so excited to share this with you all..

Living in the Bay Area, though it comes with great weather, we don't get to see a lot of Fall color around here. After doing a bunch of research and finding out that the closest destinations are still pretty far (Eastern Sierra), I decided to take a shot at visiting the greatest national park that happens to be sitting in our backyard... Yosemite.. and see how she's doing in the Fall.
I mean.. wow. Not bad for a view! This turns out to be the most rewarding trip I've had in 2017. It's the first time I experience Yosemite in a different color, different smell and vibe. I absolutely love it and if anyone's visiting, I highly recommend to visit during the Fall because it's also less crowded.
We stayed at a newly built Yosemite Valley Lodge nearby the park's entrance and my gosh it was gorgeous. We wish we could have stayed longer.
The hotel's excursion guide recommended us to hike at Tuolomne Grove where we'd find giant sequoias nestled in it. It was a loop of about 3 miles with moderate elevation when coming back. The hike could be done in 1-2 hours depending on how fast you walk. We spent almost 3 hours there admiring the view and trying to take photos of all the different types and shapes of trees. It was amazing.
Here's my itinerary if you're interested..

Two weeks after our Disneyland trip, me and my friend decided to go back one last time before Halloween is over. We couldn't make it to California Adventure Park last time..

For the month of October, my friend somehow convinced me to go to Disneyland twice (read about our second trip here) to experience their Halloween themed attractions. After that week in Disney World earlier this year, it's really hard to say no to another Disney trip so..

On my very first American road trip, my friend took me to Hearst Castle and I still remember how weirdly awesome it was to see a grand European-influenced castle in the middle of Highway 1. For this month's trip, I decided to go back to Hearst Castle for the second time and relive those moment. On the itinerary, I also added a couple of neighboring spots like Morro Bay and Pismo Beach. A couple of highlights...

When I proposed going to Denver to my friend who usually travels with me, I did not get the excitement that I was hoping to get. I had my doubts too when planning for it initially but the plane tickets were cheap so I went with my guts and a couple of weeks later, we landed in Denver..

Out of all the trips I've done this year, I think I'm most excited about this one because I've never planned a getaway around visiting a resort. This time, I decided to splurge a little and went for it..

I honestly have no idea where I should start with this post because there's so much to share about this trip. I have planned for it 3 months in advanced to make sure that I don't freak out because a trip to Disney World on a 4th of July week can be pretty intense, or so I heard.
Disney did make things a lot more convenient through their dining plans and all. So basically, if you're staying with them, you get to purchase the all-in-one package that includes park tickets, meal plans and hotels. Upon arrival, they'll give you your 'Magic Band' that works as your ticket, room key and a payment method -- then you're good to go.
I'll try not to bore you with too much information but I thought I'll share my itinerary if you'd like to see..

I've heard it plenty of times from coworkers and friends - they all love Portland and said they'd like to move there some day. I wanted to see its charm myself so I decided to go during the Memorial Day weekend. Didn't take much photos of the city because I spent most of my times there stuffing myself with all the amazing food Portland has to offer (Blue Star Donuts, Pok Pok, Salt & Straw, and many more). My favorite one that we kept going back after was this infamous chicken rice stall.
The next day, we rented a car and headed east towards where all the waterfalls are.

After two full months of hiatus from going anywhere exciting, I finally got to check off one of my bucket list by renting out this insanely beautiful house in Joshua Tree..

For my next national park adventure, I wanted to go to Grand Canyon and Antelope Canyon. I’ve been to Grand Canyon once with a guided tour and though it felt a lot like a tourist trap, you still can’t deny that Grand Canyon is a natural wonder and be awed by it. Here are some highlights from the trip..

My goal for 2017 is to visit as many national park as possible. To kick off the year, I picked Yosemite as my first national park to visit because not only it is the closest to where I live, I heard Yosemite looks pretty good in the Winter. Here are some highlights from the trip, if you'd like to see..
