SF Bay Area Day Trip idea: Brunch at Half Moon Bay & Fresh Bread from Pescadero

My favorite day trip usually involves a delicious brunch, picking up pastries from the local bakery and ending it with sunset by the beach..

When I'm feeling uninspired and don't have any travel plan on a weekend.. Highway 1 is usually my go-to starting point and Ritz Carlton has this amazing brunch place that overlooks the Pacific Ocean..

After brunch and a nice stroll around the estate, we drove south to Pescadero to get coffee from their one and only Downtown Local (which is not only a coffee shop but also a vintage store!) and picked up freshly baked artichoke garlic bread (new batch comes out every 15 minutes so the bread are always warm) from Arcangeli Grocery Co.

I've done the same itinerary over and over again for the past year and I'm never getting tired of going. A couple of cool places to check out alongside Highway 1: Pigeon Point Lighthouse, Swanton Berry Farm, Pie Ranch, Harley Farms and Point Montara Lighthouse.
